2002-2008

First Steps in Denmark

Oliver Urso is born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on April 29, 1999. From a very young age he shows natural confidence with the ball, beginning his football career at KB Copenhagen in the 2002–03 season, playing with the 1998 class team. Always playing above his age group, he remains at his hometown club until the 2005–06 season, before transferring to BSV Denmark, with whom he plays three high-level seasons, culminating in winning the U19 championship in 2008.

2008-2012

Arrival in Italy and AS Roma

In 2008 he transfers to the Italian capital, where he plays the 2008–09 season with AS Roma Team Sport, continuing with the 1998 class team, further confirming his technical qualities. His performances quickly attract the attention of the technical staff and, in 2009, Oliver Urso officially joins AS Roma’s Youth Sector, making a decisive step in his football development.

Wearing the Roma shirt, Urso has an immediate impact, distinguishing himself from the first season. With the U10 team, he scores 22 goals in 26 league matches, figures of absolute significance that confirm his value. A high-level performance that rapidly projects him among the most promising talents in Roma’s academy.

In the following season, the 1999-born striker confirms his performance: in his first year in the U12 Provincial team he scores 18 goals in 28 appearances, demonstrating consistency and goal-scoring maturity.
Urso remains at Roma in the 2011–12 season, starting in the best possible way with a decisive goal in the derby against Lazio, allowing the Giallorossi to win 3–2. He closes the championship with 16 goals overall, also distinguishing himself in end-of-season tournaments, performances that earn him individual recognition as best player.

2012-2018

The Move to Tor Tre Teste and Cesena

In the following season, Urso chooses to undertake a new path, leaving Roma at the end of his annual contract to join Nuova Tor Tre Teste, a historic amateur Roman club. The impact is immediate: in the Young Prospects Tournament, competing also against professional clubs, he distinguishes himself to the point of winning the best player award of the tournament.

After a brace on his league debut on the Albalonga pitch, Oliver continues the season as a protagonist, finishing with 16 goals in 22 appearances, confirming himself as one of the most interesting profiles in the youth landscape.

His performances continue to attract sector professionals’ attention and, after also distinguishing himself in the January Ielasi Tournament, at Easter he gets the opportunity to play on trial with Cesena in the prestigious Pecci Tournament, a national reference event for the U13 B category.
Wearing the white-and-red shirt, Urso plays a high-level tournament, interpreting the role of central midfielder and demonstrating considerable tactical adaptability, qualities that further strengthen his technical profile.

Cesena decides to bet on him and, in summer 2013, his transfer to the white-and-red shirt is finalized. In his first year in Emilia-Romagna, Oliver takes part in the U13 National championship, alternating effectively in the roles of attacking winger, playmaker, and central midfielder.
Despite frequent position changes, his goal-scoring performance remains high, as evidenced by the 10 goals scored in 23 appearances, confirming versatility and offensive incisiveness.

In the following season, in the U15 National Lega Pro championship, Urso continues to distinguish himself for consistency and quality, combining goals, assists, and high-level performances. Between December and January he makes an impact in matches against Empoli and Fiorentina with well-taken goals, before his exploit on the Pontedera pitch, overcome also thanks to a brace by him.
At the end of the season, his 10 goals overall prove decisive in Cesena’s success, which finishes the championship in first place in the group, ahead of Fiorentina.

In the 2015–16 season, Urso is part of Cesena’s U15 National team. After impressing at the early season Previdi Memorial, he begins to collect high-level performances and decisive goals, such as the one that allows the white-and-reds to win away at Atalanta.
Cesena climbs the standings and Urso frequently leaves his mark, signing performances of great impact, including the exploit on the Milan pitch, beaten 3–1 thanks to a personal hat-trick.

At the end of the season, the young striker finishes with 12 goals in 21 appearances, results that earn him promotion to the Primavera, the next stage of his development.

2018-2022

Professional Debut

In summer 2018, Urso transfers to Salernitana, a Serie B club, before moving in August on loan to Pro Piacenza. An experience that sees him as a protagonist on the pitch, albeit in a context conditioned by the club’s well-known financial difficulties.

In April 2019, Oliver signs with Forlì, in Serie D, collecting 4 appearances and 1 goal in the final month of the season. An experience that fits into his development path, allowing him to accumulate playing time and consistency in the lower tiers of Italian football.

In August 2019, Oliver joins Viterbese Castrense, in Serie C. Wearing the yellow-and-blue shirt he plays three seasons, collecting 83 appearances and 2 goals, including the decisive goal in the playoff against Fermana, essential for the club’s Serie C survival.
This is the period of tactical transformation: from external striker he evolves into a complete left winger, capable of interpreting both phases of play effectively, combining defensive attention and offensive quality.

2022-2024

Consecration at Novara

In July 2022, after three excellent seasons, he moves to Novara, also in Serie C. It is the moment of tactical maturity and consecration. With the Azzurri he plays two seasons collecting 61 appearances with 9 goals (8 of which in the final 2023-24 season).

2023-24 Season at Novara: 36 appearances, 8 goals, 4 assists. Consistent and decisive performances. Wins the “Il Fedelissimo” award as best player of the season according to journalists and fans.

2024-Present

The Step Up to Serie B

In July 2024 Oliver Urso signs a three-year contract with Reggiana (Serie B), a step toward the most important levels of Italian professional football. The culmination of a path that has seen a young Danish talent evolve into a valuable European professional. In February 2026, he joined Calcio Lecco 1912 on loan from AC Reggiana and wears the No. 11 shirt.
